Quality Assurance
ISO Certification
In 2005 OTIS Pharmacare became the first private pharmaceutical company in West Africa to earn ISO 9001:2000 certification. Certification had the immediate impact of streamlining procedures within the company, which over the years has led to better service for our customers through improved controls in company operations. Ever since our initial certification, OTIS Pharmacare has been recertified every year. In 2010 OTIS Pharmacare was awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification, an update from ISO 9001:2000.
Total Quality Management System
In line with the requirements of ISO registration, OTIS Pharmacare has developed and implemented an extensive Total Quality Management system. This system focuses on the work environment within and service provided by OTIS Pharmacare. The current quality policy is as follows:
- Provide quality products to customers at an affordable price
- Reward and motivate teamwork amongst its employees
- Create and sustain commitment for quality of services throughout the organisation
- Regular review of customers' feedback and establish relationships with them, as one of the inputs for continual improvement
- Quality planning for processes, activities and resources needed to satisfy specific customer and the organisational requirements within a specific time frame
- Ensure that quality objectives, including those needed to meet requirements for services, are established in relevant functions and levels within the organisation. Quality shall be measurable and consistent with the company Quality Policy
- Continually improve the performance of Quality Management System in all aspects of the organisation
